Planitop Basecoat is a high-performance, polymer-modified, Portland-cement-based, pre-blended mortar for non-structural applications. Use Planitop Basecoat before the application of a finish coat of acrylic or cement-based stucco or waterproof paint. Planitop Basecoat is suitable for applications on concrete or masonry substrates, and properly prepared wood and suitable Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS). Planitop Basecoat may also be used as an adhesive and basecoat for EPS (expanded polystyrene) architectural shapes, and as a smoothing and leveling agent over stucco and approved substrates. Planitop Basecoat conforms to appropriate sections of ASTM C926, Standard Specification for Application of Portland Cement-Based Plaster.
